Details:
Provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing services to the Maruchan Process and Warehouse expansion. Separate systems were provided to support individual space criteria. For example, the plant room required a swale ditch and floor drain system along the four production lines, spot cooling, process steam, cooking oil transport and specialized Strahman steam/hot water wash down stations. Construction administration included shop drawing review, job site meetings and on site observation with accompanying documentation.
This was a Design Build project that was not only successful but met both its aggressive schedule and budge. Also, during construction, many considerations had to be taken into account. Such as:
- The silo room, where floor is off loaded, needed to be explosion proof.
- The material feeding room had strict humidity control criteria.
- The process plant room required individual spot coolers for the employees without adversely affecting the product.
- The expansion was phased and engineered to not impact existing plan operation.
- Production of product continued during construction.
